Athlete of the Month – April 2016 – Rob Seltzer

This month’s AOM is the one and only Rob Seltzer! Great, funny guy, better known as “the cyclist” of the team, Rob has been a very active member, participating in many TTT events. He also is great if you need encouragement…. especially to sign up for events. :). This year, Rob is signed up for his 5th “Double Down to the Beach” (A 200 mile road ride)… and has also mentioned the possibility of riding back to GSO after the event! After that, he’ll be pursuing a PR at Augusta Ironman 70.3 in September.

Athlete of the Month – Feb 2016 – Melissa Roberts

This month’s AOM is Melissa Roberts! Melissa is definitely one of the most vibrant and enthusiastic members of the team, always smiling and ready to energize a crowd, she recently completed her first 70.3 at Beach2Battleship. Look for her to tear up local triad roadways as she swims, bikes, and runs in on her way to Ironman 70.3 Augusta later this year!

Athlete of the Month – Jan 2016 – Walt Maxwell

This month’s AOM is Walt Maxwell. Walt is an active member and supporter of the TTT. His enthusiasm, energy, and positive attitude are contagious and have inspired many TTT’ers to push through barriers they had previously considered impossible to achieve. Even before completing his first full iron distance triathlon at Beach2Battleship, Walt had signed up for IM Canada AND IM Chattanooga! With such a full agenda, expect to see Walt out and about all over Greensboro.

Athlete of the Month – Nov 2015 – Pete Barusic

This month’s AOM is Pete Barusic. Pete is new to triathlon, as in he just started in the spring. Yet, he has already accomplished so much and has been a very inspirational member of the TTT since the day he joined. Pete just completed the Beach2Battleship Half Iron distance triathlon, as well as many other triathlons over the summer in honor of a dear friend battling stage IV breast cancer. In fact, Pete is the founder of Teamindure (www.teamindure.com). The mission of teamindure is to provide a place for athletes to come together as a community to raise awareness and fundraise, as they honor those individuals that are running their own health marathons or triathlons with long-term illness.
