The Triad Triathlon Team is hosting an indoor trainer bike ride/training session on the 1st and 3rd
Thursday of each month. The purpose of the indoor training ride is to allow members and prospective
members of all fitness levels to enjoy each other's company while riding at their own pace. The
session will last approximately 90 minutes and include the option to follow a structured interval
workout. Participants can arrive anytime after 7 PM. Please bring your bike, trainer, towels, and
drink (for both during the workout and post workout recovery)
If you are new to riding bikes or using an indoor trainer for the first time, don't worry as there
will be plenty of people to help get you going.

Looking to stay in shape over the winter months or looking for a great introduction into the world of triathlon?
Look no further! The indoor triathlon series offers participants the perfect venue for an introduction to triathlons.
Indoor pool swims take much of the angst out of the swim. Those new to triathlon can swim, bike, and run at their own pace.
Seasoned triathletes can use this series to augment their training or test their fitness. These events are open to all,
no need to be a TTT member to participate.

Eight-week training program for the Belews Lake Sprint Triathlon (750 meter Swim, 14.5 mile Bike, 3.1 mile Run)
This program is for beginning triathletes or for those looking to transition from a pool-swim to an
open-water-swim triathlon. This eight-week training plan will be accessible through TrainingPeaks
(www.trainingpeaks.com) and includes group-coached training/meeting sessions. This program will
prepare athletes for the successful completion of a sprint triathlon, focusing on proper technique,
form and pacing in all three disciplines. It also includes emphasis on nutrition, transitions and race-day
preparation and planning. Athletes will have access to the Belews Lake group forum on TrainingPeaks,
where they can post questions, share information and encourage one another during their training for

Triathlon 1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run

The triathlon program is for novices or for those looking to transition from a sprint to Olympic-distance triathlon. The duathlon program is for current triathletes, cyclists or runners who would like to try their hand at a duathlon. The two eight-week training plans will be accessible through TrainingPeaks (www.trainingpeaks.com) and will include group-coached training/meeting sessions. These programs will prepare athletes for the successful completion of an Olympic-distance triathlon or duathlon, focusing on proper technique, form and pacing in all three disciplines.
